Good Morning!

We have opened registration/declaration for Meet of Champs. There are a few key details, so I’ll try and make this short. Please read this email carefully.

For those of you who are new, Meet of Champions is the qualifying meet for the league All-stars. ALL swimmers are encouraged to participate in the Meet of Champions as one last opportunity to swim in competition for the season.

WHEN/WHERE

MOC 10 & Under Monday, July 8. 7AM Warm-Up. 8AM Start. At 16701 Aquatic Practice Facility

MOC 11 & Up: Monday, July 8. 2:30 Warm-Up. 3PM Start. At 16701 Aquatic Practice Facility.

Times might vary a little.

HOW TO DECLARE YOUR SWIMMER

Declaring your swimmers is a little different for this meet. You and your swimmer will decide in which events you’d like to compete. Follow the same procedure as before. Once to the “Edit” section, check the desired events. Your swimmer WILL compete in all events selected. If an event is mark as “ineligible”, this means that your swimmer does not have a qualifying time for that particular event due to (1) being disqualified during said event at the swim meet or (2) simply not swimming said event at the swim meet. If your swimmer wants to compete in an event that is currently mark “ineligible”, please send us an email, so he/she can swim in this event at the upcoming meet on July 1—this will be the last opportunity. This is a league rule and we don’t have any wiggle room on this. IMPORTANT: Once your swimmer obtains a qualifying time, you will need to go back and declare this newly added event (once times are posted).

Relays will be set by the coaches.

VOLUNTEERING

The set-up at the FBISD Facility. There will be 2 separate meets going on at the same time on opposite ends of the pool. Please plan on volunteering for each meet that you have swimmers. Volunteer shifts will open Monday, July 1. The positions are fairly similar to those from a regular meet, but have a few nuances; please read the details of the position as you sign up.
