One of the goals as a swim team is to find opportunities to give back to our local community organizations of Sienna Plantation. When the Stingrays compete, we not only represent our team; we also represent our beloved community.

During our swim meet on Monday, July 1^st, we will be hosting our 2nd Annual Swim-a-thon to raise awareness and additional funding for an amazing organization – A Shelter for Cancer Families (ASCF).

ASCF is a non-profit organization that offers support and services for families affected by cancer that are seeking treatment here in the Texas Medical Center. Among the services they provide are cancer family navigators - they accompany families to doctors’ appointments taking notes, housing for families from out-of-town, and celebration support for important milestones during their cancer journey. All their services are FREE families thanks to their donors and our generous community.

So, how does the swim-a-thon work? We are asking you, our Stingray family, to ask your family, friends, and/or local businesses to pledge a dollar amount ranging anywhere $.01 to $10 per point scored by our team during our home meet on Monday, July 1, 2019. For example; Uncle John agrees to pledge $.05 per team point. Our team scores 550 points. Uncle John’s donation would be $27.50.

$.05 per point pledged x 550 overall team points = $27.50.

How can one pledge? It’s simple. Have your family, friends, and your local partnerships click on the link below to complete the pledge form. Your supporters will then receive an email reminder after the event with link to complete their pledge payment. ASCF will also be onsite that evening to raise awareness, answer your questions or complete your payment.
